Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Bytelity (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run our site and reply to enquiries.
1. Who is responsible
Bytelity is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@bytelity.com.
Please replace this with your registered legal entity name, address, and — where required — your EU/UK representative and Data Protection Officer before going live.
2. What we collect
We only collect personal data that you actively give us:
- Contact form data. Your name, email address, and the message you write, so we can understand and reply to your enquiry.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
- Consent preference. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser so we don’t ask again.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not buy or sell personal data.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
- Responding to your enquiry — on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Running and securing the site — on the basis of our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Optional analytics — only if you consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers (“processors”) who help us operate, and only as needed:
- Hosting. Our site and form endpoint run on Vercel, which processes requests and server logs on our behalf.
- Message delivery. When you submit the contact form, its contents are delivered to our team through a messaging integration (Telegram) so we see your enquiry promptly.
Where a provider processes data outside the EEA/UK, that transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable follow-up period, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host for security and diagnostics. Your consent preference stays in your browser until you clear it or change your choice.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@bytelity.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site or legal obligations evolve. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version; material changes will be made clear on this page.
